How far in advance should I book?
We take bookings from 3 hours' notice and beyond for any vehicle seating up to 8 passengers. For larger group vehicles (minibuses and coaches) we require at least 72 hours' notice. Last-minute bookings are usually possible by phone.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
Yes. Vehicles for up to 8 passengers can be adjusted or cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before pickup. Larger vehicles need more notice — 3 days for minibuses and 7 days for coaches. If your flight is cancelled by the airline more than 3 hours before pickup, you'll receive a full refund.
How much does a transfer cost?
Prices are fixed per route and vehicle class — you'll see the exact fare in the booking form before you confirm. No surge pricing, no hidden fees, no surprises on the invoice.
How does payment work?
Pay online by card when you book. Corporate accounts are invoiced monthly on standard 30-day terms.
Can I add child seats, pets, or accessibility extras?
Yes. Child seats, pet-friendly vehicles, wheelchair accessibility, and other custom requests can all be added at the time of booking — just tell us what you need.
Where do I meet my driver at the airport?
Your driver waits inside the arrivals hall of the terminal where you land, holding a sign with your name — same at Dublin, Cork, Kerry, Belfast, Shannon, Knock, Killarney. You'll receive a confirmation with the exact pickup point and your driver's contact closer to the time.
What if my flight is delayed?
We monitor your flight in real time and shift your pickup automatically. You choose how many minutes after landing you'd like the driver there — we suggest at least 15. From that pickup time, the driver waits up to 45 minutes free of charge.
Which airports do you cover?
All of Ireland's main airports, north and south — Dublin, Cork, Shannon, Knock, Kerry, and Belfast (both City and International).
Will the driver help with my luggage?
Yes. Your driver meets you inside arrivals and helps carry your bags from the terminal to the car. If you're travelling with extra or oversized luggage, let us know when booking so we can send a vehicle with enough space.
What if I can't find my driver?
Before pickup you'll receive your driver's name and direct contact details, plus the exact meeting point. If you still can't connect, our ops desk is reachable around the clock and will put you in touch straight away.
Can you collect very early or late flights?
Yes — we operate 24/7, so we can meet red-eye arrivals and the earliest morning departures. Your pickup is timed to your actual flight, whatever the hour.
What vehicles are available?
From Economy and Executive saloons to First Class — including electric options — plus MPVs, Minibuses, and Mini Coaches seating up to 34 passengers.
How do I choose the right vehicle?
Choose based on the number of passengers, luggage, and the type of journey:
1–3 passengers with normal luggage
Standard or Executive class. Pick Executive for business trips, client travel, or special occasions.
4+ passengers or oversized luggage
Choose an MPV (up to 6) or a Minivan (up to 8) from the Groups & Vans tier.
Can I book a specific car model?
Booked vehicles are guaranteed to the class and size where listed, but not the exact model.
Are child seats available?
Yes — infant seats, child seats, and boosters are available at extra cost. just request the amount and seat type you need when booking.
Do you offer electric options?
Yes — electric vehicles are available in the Standard and First Class tiers.
Do you cover all of Ireland?
We travel to every corner of the island, including Northern Ireland. Your trip just needs to either start or end in one of our covered cities — Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Belfast, Killarney or Galway — or one of their nearby airports.
Can I make several stops on the same trip?
Yes. Add stops in the booking form, or hire a driver by the hour and stop wherever you like throughout the day. The driver handles the route and timing.
Do you support recurring or scheduled bookings?
Yes — daily commute runs, weekly crew rotations, monthly client visits, and full schedules over several months are all supported.
Do you offer corporate accounts?
Yes. Corporate accounts include a dedicated booking portal, fixed pre-agreed discounts, monthly invoicing, and detailed reporting.
What's included in a corporate account?
Multi-user access, role-based permissions, monthly invoicing, cost-code reporting, and volume-based pricing.
How does billing work?
You receive one consolidated invoice per calendar month, with bookings itemised by traveller and cost code. Payment is by bank transfer on standard 30-day terms.
Is there a minimum commitment?
No minimum spend, no setup fee, no annual commitment. Pay only for the trips you actually take.
Can you handle multi-vehicle group transfers?
Yes — conferences, incentive trips, and event programmes are a core part of what we do. You get a single ops contact, coordinated arrival waves, and one combined invoice.
How do you handle last-minute changes?
Our ops team is on duty 24/7. Pickup time changes, traveller swaps, and route updates are handled in real time.
Do drivers sign NDAs?
Yes. For confidential travel, we can assign vetted drivers who have signed company-specific NDAs.
What do I need to drive with Avatravel?
A valid SPSV/LPSV (Small/Large Public Service Vehicle) driver licence, SPSV/LPSV vehicle licence, in-date insurance and a vehicle in good condition.
How do I get paid?
Payment for completed trips is made weekly via bank transfer. You'll see your pending balance and trip history in the driver app at any time.
Do I have to commit to set hours?
No fixed shifts. You set your own availability in the app and accept the jobs that suit you.
How long does the review take?
Most applications are reviewed within 24 hours. If your profile is a good match, our onboarding team will reach out to confirm documents.
